Ferro Alloys Ltd.
Setting up of Anjaney Ferro Alloys Ltd. has marked the diversification of
the BMA Group into Ferro Alloys, an important import substitution area. It
is the first Ferro Alloys plant in the DVC area and holds a unique position
as the manufacturer of MC Ferro Alloys ( used for manufacturing of high
quality steels) in the country. This has helped in substituting expensive
imports and creating a loyal customer base that makes repeated purchases.

1 x 9 MVA submerged arc furnace
1 x 5 MVA submerged arc furnace

Maithan Smelters Ltd.
The
establishment of Maithan Smelters Ltd. in 2001 was another pioneering
initiative in the North-Eastern region. The plant has been instrumental in
developing a host of ancillary industries in the area with its forward and
backward linkages. It is one of its kind to have a captive oxygen plant to
meet the individual requirements of the customers.
